More Info
"Combined Arms: World War II " is a 1km hex-based battalion-level simulation of World War II combat that puts the wargamer in the role of the operational commander. Combined Arms: World War II uses actual minutes and hours to track time and coordinate orders. Tell your combat and support units when to jump off and how to coordinate their plans.
Units exist within a military organization which Combined Arms: World War II understands. This allows cross-attachment of units and modeling of the strain on the staff of a particular command structure, depending on how much there is to manage and how many operations there are to plan and coordinate. Combat units are detailed with quality ratings, armor and infantry strengths, and movement types.
Artillery is beautifully handled in Combined Arms: World War II, as are Air and Naval units. Artillery can be assigned to barrage for a certain amount of time, support a specific battle, be on call or assigned to counterbattery fire against enemy artillery in range. Air and Naval units can similarly support battles or attack enemy assets directly. Interdiction fire by these combat arms is fully modeled.
